Oh, I heard about that. If it's what I'm thinking of, Lucas got a special achievement award and it was just a shindig dedicated to him and Shatner sang and ended up getting carried off stage by storm toopers.
I could be way off though.

It was the American Film Institute Tribute to Lucas. I saw it when it aired two years back, and oh, how I wish I'd taped it! In addition to Shatner, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher were very funny. Ford making a comment along the lines that he'd been in the better written, better acted of the movies. It was great seeing the Shatner bit again!

Two years old, eh? Well, I get around to the good stuff eventually. :) Ah, I do *heart* Harrison Ford.

Actually, it was last year. I remember because ROTS had just been released.

That was f-ing brilliant, mate. Thanks for the link! I laughed my ass off. I notice Lucas seemed less than amused part of the time, but somehow that made it BETTER. Not everyone takes him as seriously as he takes himself, after all.

And yes. Shatner is WAY cooler.

Exactly...Shatner is cool because he's done a brilliant job of not taking himself seriously. Few people could have pulled it off better, in fact.
