Another home for my stuff

cassiovega is putting together a tidy page of my LOTR parody materials, a sort of "best-of" of this journal, if you will. The scripts employ cute little "sprites" for each of the characters. Thank you, Katie!

She thinks her site can take the bandwidth load, so do your worst, folks. ;)

lord of the rings, lj business, parody by me

I had to rec that in my LJ. I hadn't read that before and your friends little "sprites" were indeed a nice touch. That was just too funny for words, seriously.

No, it seems we quite exploded Glenn's bandwidth limits for the month, in about one day. :) Elsewhere in these comments he explains:

As you've guessed, the site was swamped and 100Mb a month bandwidth was
exceeded a little...

Very pleased with the response.. anyone got a webserver?

Extra-extra cute. So cute that I was inspired to make a Watcher in the Water sprite and a PJ sprite, here:

I understand there are webpages that let you do stuff like that (and some of them are linked from the main parodies page there) but I'm nowhere near as high-tech this time of the night to attempt that.

I just open The GIMP, start a 30 px. by 30 px new image, zoom in to about 15 times the size, pick up a small brush and go. Keep shifting between zoomed size and real size to make sure it looks right.

Ooh yay! I will snag them, happily! And if you wanna make Smeagol and Deagol ones, I'll take those, too ;) Thanks!
