I have so missed your perfumey reviews! These all sound divine, but I'm particularly intrigued by Sienne L'Hiver, L'Ombre Dans L'Eau, and Norell...maybe it's time for another perfume purchase! It's been so long. :)

Sally!! I can hook you up with at least L'Ombre Dans L'Eau and Norell, since I have full bottles of those. We'll have to make another lunch date to hand them off. And/or let me know when you'll be out at BP again, and maybe we can come say hi too, or meet you off the Fauntleroy ferry or something! In the meantime, the website Surrender to Chance has a lot of samples you can order of all kinds of things. (They're an offshoot of The Perfumed Court, I believe.) Too darn tempting, they are.

Pipe tobacco unsmoked does smell fabulous! (And not *so* bad smoked, compared to cigarettes and such.) This house is quite good at making foody-sweet smells yummy without going cloying.
