In the meantime, thank you for prompting me to reread the CoS parody; I giggled so much that my one month old came off the breast!
(and I still love the number one skinny annoying fan competition. Oh, and I *still* can't read the slug scene without dry retching, so I skip it every time.)

As to what Percy was doing, it just occurred to me now that we have only Ginny's word for it. She might not have wanted to mention what he was *really* doing.

*I* frequently forget what I've written in the parodies, so I get to laugh all over again too. Plus they serve the actually useful purpose of reminding me what happens in each book. I guess that's another practical reason to keep writing them. Ah, extreme amounts of forgetfulness: another gift of parenting. :)
Btw, the junior high teacher in Iowa who wants to stage one of your parodies: I think the same person emailed me, for permission to use one of the HP ones. (In fact, it'd be stranger if it *weren't* the same person, and was a different jr high teacher in Iowa. Probably she found one of us linking to the other.) Naturally I allowed permission, and begged her to post a YouTube clip or something, but so far people never actually do that, at least not that they've told me. Alas.
