Frankfurt

Our final flight to Dublin has been delayed (well, cancelled & we'll be on another), so we unexpectedly have 12 hours in Frankfurt (in the day time). Any suggestions what to do with them? I've never been to Germany at all.

Ooo don't tempt me! My resistance will be low after all that flying. Though luggage restrictions should help. Hmm... I wonder will we be able to check our luggage all the way through from Singapore, or is 12 hours too long? We're having a lot of waiting around on the trip back - 12 hours in Sydney, 24 in Singapore (by choice) and 12 hours in Frankfurt.

From unblinkered: Try Ebbelwoi/Apfelwein or Apfelschorle, and savoury onion pizzas.

I think Apfelwein was my favorite part of Frankfurt. Well, and all the sausages. I do love sausage. (TWSS)

Perhaps nuteile and I can have sausage together...

To be fair, Apfelschorle is my own personal craving rather than a must-have delicacy....mineral water is different over here, so it never tastes right. Ebbelwoi, on the other hand... ;)

Cool, thanks.

BTW, I've discussed it with nuteile, and we would like to meet if you're on for it - don't want to interfere with any long weekend plans you may be thinking of.
