I did this one under friendslock - it was a little too revealing about where I work to make it public.

I find this really interesting... it is something I think of occasionally with Annabel - usually when I see girls dressed in what I think is inappropriate "clothing".

I think it will be a challenge for me as I was such a tom boy at school. I also wore lots of baggy clothes as I had self image problems. I don't want Annabel to be like I was, but I don't want her to be like some of the girls I see around either. I know she will be who she is and I need to nurture that, I'm just not sure how just yet.

To me this goes in a particular parenting category: not really going to know until we get there. Parenting is full of things you can predict ... and a lot of things you just don't understand until it's actually happening to you. How strongly you feel about an issue is only a small part of how it turns out. This is one I gave up on making predictions a long time ago. Which is funny, because it's a lot about how you look, and R looks almost exactly like me.
