Wow Will, I'm really impressed that you found my journal and thought to respond! Thanks also for the link to the planning blog - I'll definitely check it out. And I will keep your e-mail in case I think of anything to ask in the future

coolio Jen, I am glad to hear that things are going well. Before I came to CA I never thought I could live for very long outside of WA but now that I've been here nigh on 4 yrs, I've come to like the place. My heart is still in WA but that's O.K. I had such a prejudice against CA that my impression was I was moving to and arid, polluted land of doom! Well, L.A. is that but Northern California certainly is not, NorCal is actually quite nice. I hope things continue to go well for all of you down there! When you mention the traffic lights, that got me thinking about a time when I helped Robin Snow's brother and his wife with a moving project. Robin's sister in law, Sarah actually showed me a short cut through Tacoma through about 10 stop lights. The trick was to approach at a certain speed then after the fourth light (I think) to accelerate and you would blow through all of them, it was cool and really sped up the moving process. Anyway here's hoping you find your own short cuts through town!
