so even though I'm in my first year of college, I'm considered a sophomore because of how many credits I had from highschool. Basically I'm a semester ahead ( Read more... )

Wow, that' a tough decision :/ if it were me (this is not good advice, btw) I would probably stop caring about it and do the bare minimum and scrape by with a D. I guess it really depends how much you care about your GPA.. although it seems like it would be better to work harder next semester for classes you actually like, then have to work hard now for a class that's completely useless.

College is the worst :(

Hahaha I wish I could! It sucks cause I need at least a 3.0 to keep my scholarship (which I need) which I guess I will keep.... but yeah, that would mean most likely losing the Dean's list and being kicked out of the Law program I'm in (which I don't plan on pursuing but it's always a good backup...)

I'd totally be more happy working hard next semester but the extra $800 kills that idea. ;___; Fuck it, I'm gonna drop out and just go to Disney World. :P

aww hon, I'm so sorry. :( If you ask me, I think your best option right now might just be to stick it out. that is, at least, what I would do; I had to take AP Art History last year and even though it was a good class, I absolutely sucked at it and got a 2/5 on the final test. but I still stuck through it and scraped a B for the class - I figure, if you're going to have to push through hard shit during your life, maybe the time is to start now?

I know it sucks, but if it helps, I believe you can do it, guuurl! Think of how worth it it will be. :) ♥

ily ily ily !!! <333

Yaknow, I've endure the class for this long already (albeit it's been torture. and it won't get any easier ;___; ) but with four weeks left anyway, I guess I might as well just finish it

Oh the things I do to try to make my mommy happy xD

See, that's the spirit! You've lasted this long; might as well see it through. :)

I think you need to seriously think about what you want and do that, because if you continue to do things that make you miserable only because your mother wants you to, you're going to end up with a career you hate. =/ Good luck, bb

Hehe thankyou bb! Fortunately other than this one class, life is good! I finally found a major that I LOVE + want to do and my mom is being super supportive. I really did want to try to like Speech Pathology because it is a really good + rewarding career but I just couldn't get into it! And now I'm stuck with it for another month xD

But thankyou I appreciate it so much ;____;

P.s. this is totally random but I was thinking about it this morning and meant to ask you... a while back you sent me a URL of a cute little site that taught you basic Japanese, it was adorable and interactive... if you know what I'm talking about, do you remember the URL? xD

Oh, thats good! I hadn't realized there was any change since your last post about you and your conflicts with your mother. Hopefully, you can wade through this class and hopefully come out with a decent grade.

Also, I totally remember what you're talking about but unfortunately I don't have a link to the site any more. My old laptop burned out last March and the link was on it (Along with gigs of other data including artwork, fanfics, and music)

However, this was in Sailor Moon Fans, I believe, right? If you remember roundabout when you posted asking for links, I could probably find it.

And ha, silly me, all I had to do was go to my gmail and type in "yen_sama Japanese" and your reply was right there xD

Hmm, any classes you can take over the summer and get the necessary credits?

I wish!! Unfortunately my school is not very generous when it comes to credits outside of school. I'm already taking a Spanish class at community college this summer (for no credit) just to prepare me for my Spanish class in the Fall (I have a tough sched next year and wanted a refresher in Spanish so I don't have to worry about it as much) but I might see if there's ANYTHING I can take over the summer that I might get credit for -- that's a good idea!

It's just tough cause I work at a daycamp for most of the summer. I got reeeeally lucky that my Spanish class this summer starts the day after I get home from school (mid-May), and ends the day before camp starts (end of June). o___o

Hmm, how much are you depending on the Day Camp job? Might be worth it to perhaps do one class over the summer, which might be four weeks, and then go back and see if any positions open at the Day Camp for the last four weeks of the summer. A lot of times counselors tend to quit mid summer and they need new people.

Oh gosh no no no, that camp is my life haha. This will be my 10th year there, I wouldn't ditch it for the whole world. :) My summers revolve around my camp. I will say that I would give up the idea of getting Junior standing if it meant having to give up even a few weeks of camp. Especially since I'm a head counselor..... no no no that just wouldn't be worth it.

I mean, honestly, I guess when I put it into perspective it isn't a huge deal. I'm miles ahead of most students anyway. Now that you mention camp, those credits seem silly. xD

Hehe thankyou bb! The one good thing about being a junior is that I get to pick my classes earlier... and that's important for me since i need to make sure I get into the classes for my majors (why oh why did I decide to double major? hahah) so thaaaat's a nice perk. :P

But yeah, I think after all this time I may as well tough it out for 4 more weeks. Thankyouuuuu!!! <3
