So I logged into the website to look into Starbucks benefits, and they have my gender marked as male. I know for a fact that when I was "entered into the system" when I started workin' there that my assistant manager marked female (I hadn't come out yet). I don't know if when they got my name change order they thought it was a gender change order

same. i mean, i can get all my gyn stuff covered under this state program since i make under a certain amount a month. so maybe if i'm listed as male i'll be able to get t and surgery (listed as gynecomastia?) covered? it all seems so treacherous though.

p.s. i had fun hanging out with you and your wife last weekend. we should do couples game night.

regarding couples' game night: absolutely! I enjoyed it. let us know...

regarding insurance - the only issue I'd have is the worry that something like hysterectomy might not be covered even if it becomes medically necessary (and the T may induce such problems). but I suppose if gynemastia and blood work and T is covered it would all probably even out. all this is purely speculation, of course, since some people have successfully gotten all sorts of things covered despite the sex on their insurance.

Man, which Starbucks do you work at? You hiring? I wanna work there so bad! :) I'm sad I couldn't take the job they hired me for downtown.

BTW, I have an interview with Telefund Monday and am pretty interested in the position, I think. I should be okay as it has been forever since I smoked pot, but I was wondering if they drug tested you when you applied? If you remember, lemme know! I'd just like to know ahead of time. :)

I work at one way down south at William Cannon and Westgate. I think we may be hiring one more person, but our store hosts the south area job fair every Monday. That's usually the best way to find out who in the area is hiring and to get an on the spot interview. You can call around to Starbucks in your part of town and see where their job fair is.

Definitely no drug testing at Telefund. If you meet Juliie while you're doing your interviewing, tell her that I said hi. She and I are buds.
