First off, sorry for the lack of an earlier reply. We stayed in San Fran for a few extra days post-APE and I didn't get much of a chance to sit in front of a 'puter when we got back. So I'm doing my catch-ups now.
It was very cool of you to chat with me at APE, by the by. Seriously - it was much appreciated. Being in a city (uh, and state. And hell, let's add country) that I don't know is always a smidgen spooky. So being able to talk with you was awesome. Thanks a bunch. Now hopefully you like my stuff, but no worries if you hate it, too!
I like your blog. Love Milan Kundera (it makes me miss the bookstore I used to run) and I think you will like Alan Moore's work. Well, at least some of it. I'd actually recommend Miracleman over anything else myself, since it's probably his most interesting work. V for Vendetta is quite good (and far better than the recent flick) but I get yelled at by many when I mention how much I didn't like the movie version
( ... )
If you get a chance, check out Black Moon Photography's shots from the recent Pogues tour on the east coast. Josie is kinda like their official photographer (well, at least when they hit North America) and her pics are pretty awesome.
She's based in Montreal so I'm hoping to hook up with her to do some publicity type shots (man, doesn't that sound crass!) for my bookie.
