Hello everyone! Sorry I was seemingly dead for 4 days. I went to terrenganu. A very nice place in Malaysia, it's like a fishing village. It's like a kampung. But. How do you explain in english? Help?

Moving on.

Terengganu is a nice place isn't it? I think the closest to kampung in English would be village (I think..)..but kampung itself is a very unique word that I think ahs it's own identity and cannot be directly translated to english, don't you think? Did you went there for a holiday or something?

oh, and sorry for barging in suddenly,I stumbled upon your page when searching people with Malaysia as an interest, out of boredom I guess.Gomen~

Are you from Malaysia but living abroad by any chance?

Yes kampung is very odd to directly translate it. You have to really experience and see what it's like living in a kampung and coming from one to know the meaning. Like a villagey hometown. And yes I went there for a last minute 4-day holiday because mummy had some time off for once.

Haha it's ok! I do that kinda weird random stuff myself. Plus I love LJ strangers! As long as they don't confess their love for me or want to meet with me I'm happy to make friends here. It's what this is all about ne~e?

And again, yes. I was living abroad for more than half my life [ i'm 13 and lived overseas for 9 years in total from France for 5 and England for 3/4 << thus the reason why I do not speak or write Malay-English. Though the Malay slang and corrupted using malay words in english sentances is growing on me >.< crap ] and now I'm back in Malaysia where we all get tanned and have 3 different tone colours [ never wearing a bikini and always swimsuit, you think i'm asian but if you cover everything but my stomach i look white XDD ( ... )

True. My kampung appeals to me especially during Raya (which is not far from now, whee~)

Wow~must be a very nice experience living abroad. Some of my seniors who's already in medical schools in the UK said that being far from your homeland, makes you appreciate it more. Have you ever had any cravings for Nasi Lemak when you were abroad, or things of the similar sort?

Don't worry, Malay language is not that hard to learn, I'm sure you'll be a pro in no time. And the corrupted Malay teens today (including me sadly ^_^;) use, well..it's a norm I guess..

Yes, I'm from Malaysia and I live in Ampang. Never been abroad though, but I hope I'll get my chance next year.
