Back last April, at B.C. in D.C., I won the raffle for a free weekend at the Sheraton Crystal City (the convention hotel). Sorry to have missed you, but you're right - you were booked solid! We'll meet up again. Your pictures are lovely; glad you had such nice weather for your trip.

It's kind of silly that I don't get to Chicago more often, since my parents live in Champaign. One day I'll make it back out there.

Now that I'm a retired person with lots of time to travel, I hope to get to D.C. more often! If you do get out this way, and have some time on your hands, be sure to let me know.

It looks like a fantasy land.

It really seemed that way, everything so light and pink. I don't know why, but it always surprises me when I go somewhere and it looks exactly like the pictures or postcards I've seen!

Great LJ entry. Loved the photos especially the blossoms. I used your links and references but by the time I'd finished also being tempted by the side-bar links it was long past breakfast and well on the way to lunch time. Thanks for such an enjoyable morning.

**Sigh** That sounds like a perfect weekend! I really want to make it to DC for the blossoms one year. I totally fell in love with the city the once I was there, which surprised me. I didn't expect to.

Sounds like the perfect visit. I loved the Museum of the American Indian. And the National Gallery. And about a million other things!
