I have just come in from clearing a few inches of snow off the car. It's supposed to snow all night, and since I have a class in the morning, I wanted to get a head start. A friend of mine is supposed to be flying in from New York tonight to see her mom and her two kids (I say "kids", but they are college grads); I hope she makes it

Fun to jump back into LJ and read your posts. Living in the 'outback', here in Tucson, I'm always amazed and more than a little envious, reading about how much there is to do in Chicago. You do more in a weekend than we do in six months. Totally fascinated with the city. Chicago is on my bucket list. (Husband was brought up in Elgin, IL, might be able to talk him into or a trip, but if not... might just wander up on my own sometime.)

I very well might take you up on that. Seriously. A weekend in Chicago (when it's warm :) ), would be fabulous. I'd love to walk along that shoreline I see on TV all the time, visit some of the downtown landmarks... so much. We just might have to talk.
