Honestly, I'd never even heard of Hillwood Estate before today. Thanks to this New York Times article, another destination has been added to my list. I don't know how I'm going to squeeze in everything I want to do!

Huh, I've never heard of Hillwood Estate either, though that could also be because I've never had a reason to get off the Metro at Van Ness before.

The Hillwood Estate seems too tempting for words. There just isn't enough time for all the exciting places we could see. Did you note the words in the NY Times article "Every year the museum, which has a staff of 80 including 10 gardeners, closes for a month for cleaning."? They couldn't close during a month that includes Easter vacationers could they? Could they?

Is the Post family the one from which Emily Post springs? Her name cropped up regularly during my upbringing.
