Would cats actually try to eat it? Lots of gardens in my neighbourhood have foxgloves, and there are loads of cats around, and I've never seen any try to eat foxgloves - or any flower, come to think of it.

My cats have a tendency to chew on plants, and I wouldn't want to risk it.

That makes sense. I wonder if they'd have an instinct to avoid poisonous ones, but of course it wouldn't be worth risking it.

I am understanding it is poisonous to anyone. 'One nibble of the leaf can cause death' see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digitalis

True, but at least the people who come to visit me can be trusted not to nibble on the plants! The same cannot be said of my cats.
