My polling place is down the street and around the corner from me, so I went over before I went to work. I got there right at 6:00 (when the polls open here) and the line was already out the door and beginning to go down the block. Start to finish it took me an hour and ten minutes to vote, but I still made it to the office in time for court. I' ( Read more... )

My husband and I vote by absentee ballot and don't receive the stickers either. I miss it. I feel pride showing that I have voted.

just go in and ask for a sticker! Two abseentee voters came in and asked for stickers so they could get their free coffee. Sticker dude was happy to oblige them.

But there are no stickers in Chicago. Just the receipts. Not that it makes a difference with the Starbucks offer, since they are giving free coffee to anyone "in honor of Election Day" (because it's illegal to give someone something in exchange for their vote).

I just like walking around with an "I Voted Today" sticker on my chest.
