Changed the kitty litter. Emptied the dishwasher. Went by the bank and made a deposit (always a good thing). Returned a couple of books to the library (yes, you're right, I checked a couple out as well). Picked up the dry cleaning I should have picked up a week ago. Got stamps at the post office. Sorry that the dress didn't work. (Why is it that it doesn't always look so stunning on us as it does on the hanger?)
But the blouse sounds like a find, and if it's white you can wear it to any occasion! That's always a nice feeling. :-) Is your house smelling great from the tree, yet?

Yes, I just put it up (in the sunroom, after all). But then I went to put the lights on, and half the string was out! I couldn't figure out where the loose/burned-out bulb was, so I ran out and got some new lights. I've started in on the ornaments. It looks nice.

I for years had those type of lights, and was too stubborn (and cheap) to buy new ones. I finally have the kind that don't go out if one bulb is dead. I envy you your fresh tree. We've had an artificial one for a few years, and yes, it's easier - but I'm lobbying to go back to a real one, because I do so miss the smell. Every culture ought to have some excuse for twinkly lights and fir boughs inside in winter, in my opinion. If no such tradition exists, make one up!
Enjoy your decorating, have some really good hot tea, and breathe in some wintry festive evergreen for me. :-)
