Oh LOVE the Mike/Henry interaction here. It really shows that beyond the jealousy and unease Mike has for the kid, he's a good guy through and through. He has to save people, even if they are vampires who happen to be in love with his former girlfriend.

This aura thing with Viki's eyesight is interesting. I wonder how it will help her fight off Asteroth?

I like Mike's trying to save Henry, even though it seems pretty hopeless. It does make me want to slap Henry for being such a stick in the mud about possibly living, though. ;)

ooh... it ended too soon. Your stories are like fine chocolate. I see that there's a new installment, and I make myself wait as long as I can possibly stand before I start it, then it's incredible, for much too short a time. Yes, waiting anxiously and excitedly for the next installment...
