I haven't read an actual book in too long to remember. I did read Neil Gaiman's latest anthology when it was released last month or the month before, but that wasn't an actual book. In fact, I can't remember the last time I've read whole a book that wasn't by one of my favorite authors.

Well, to be fair anthologies are still books, and I find anthologies harder to get through than novels (harder to sustain momentum etc) so ...

& all of those people are authors I've read before and liked (the Stross & Shannon books are sequels, to The Atrocity Archives & The Bone Season, respectively; & if I had a list of "Greatest Authors of All Time" & "Greatest Authors Currently Alive" Gibson would be on both and might be in contention for the top of the latter, so . . .

The Night Circus was pure looking around on the library shelves serendipity tho.
