Lij is definitely PERMANENTLY blind. Forever. No surgery. No implants. No transplants. No super-awesome special glasses. He is PERMANENTLY blind. I haven't really decided what his face looks like -- just his eyes.

He's not mad at Dom, he's just frustrated with life. He's grieving the loss of his sight and all that entails.

I'm always uncomfortable with the notion of blindness - it's one of my worst fears - and seeing Elijah in this situation was heartbreaking.

“Mom?” Elijah said, his tone sounding slightly panicked. “I . . . I can’t see you.”
I could perfectly picture this scene, and I find it terrifying, but I must be masochistic because I love it, and I'm really looking forward to the next chapter! :) *GO MOIT!*

Wow, what an adrenaline-pumped start. How horrific, Elijah being maliciously and permanently blinded on set and then facing the rest of his life irrevocably changed. I can understand his reaction to Dom - subliminally or not, he's anticipating rejection and getting the rejecting in first.

Damn this is strong stuff. I normally can't take Elijah being hurt this badly. I might have to take this a bit at a time. Between you and Honey the boys are having a tough eye year! *tries to be brave* But of course, the emotion is very affecting and strong. I think I'd be as furious and defensive as Elijah is.

At least from where the story is at right now, it's definitely getting a more positive spin, rather than SO MUCH angst. The violence of Elijah's blinding was a one-time thing, so it's just romance, angst and (hopefully) smut from here on out.
