Elijah graciously agreed go accompany Orlando to the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides premiere in Los Angeles. It wasn't like Elijah had a ton of free time, either, but Miranda was home with the baby and Orlando begged, so Elijah agreed.
But, sitting there in the dark theatre watching Johnny on the screen, Orlando started to think this was a mistake. Thank goodness for Elijah, who would not hesitate to make a scene if Orlando tried to leave. Which was probably why Orlando begged Elijah to come instead of finding a sitter, because Miranda would do anything he asked--including walking out of a crowded movie premiere in Los Angeles. Which brings Orlando back to his entrapment at said movie premiere by one, Elijah Wood. Elijah hadn't actually done or said anything to trap Orlando, but he was trapped none-the-less.
On screen, Jack drew his sword with flourish.
"I taught him that," Orlando leaned over to whisper.
Elijah hummed in reply.
Ten minutes later, Orlando leaned over to criticize the romantic looks between Jack and Angelica.
The third time he did it, Elijah interrupted him mid-sentence. "Dude, I get it."
Orlando settled back in his seat with a disgruntled look on his face. He had plenty more to say about the inadequate aspects of the film, but he kept them to himself.
Just before he and Elijah parted for the night, his friend reminded him, "You turned down the part. You said yourself that Will's story was finished."
Orlando waved him off in grudging agreement.
Miranda was asleep when he got home.
With a sigh, Orlando headed to the shower for a wank. But when he came, it was not his wife's name on his lips, but, "Johnny!"
