It's not costing me money, though. There are zero expenses for me in this arrangement. Water is free, and all food and litter has to be provided. The only thing I had to pay for with Sheba was some Nature's Miracle, which I considered fair since I unknowingly cut off access to her litterbox that one time and that pretty much made the cat pee my own fault.
If I wind up advertising it as a service, I'll see what else is out there for informal boarding and by how much I can reasonably up the price before people figure they'd rather trust a professional boarding service.
Is there something I'm really missing? Because I've been pet-sitting regularly since I was a kid. The only difference here is that I'm accepting the animal into my home for the first time (now that I have a home I can do that with) instead of traveling to the owners' place.
