kennedy_unknown has chosen seven of my interests for me to go into greater detail about why they appeal to me. If you want to participate, leave me a comment and I will choose seven of yours to write about in your own journal.

He chose: Abandoned buildings (love), Audrey Kawasaki, Druidism, Flute, Ireland, Rabbits, and The Decemberists.

So here are my answers. )

I totally know what you mean about the abandoned buildings thing, especially hospitals and prisons and the like. Add the creepiness factor and I'm there with a camera yay. And RABBITS. My little baby bunny is sitting on my lap right now so snap :D

Okay, go for it with my crazy interests bb ♥

Thanks! Go right ahead and pick ones for me if you'd like, but mainly I wanted to hear more about some of your interests. For instance, I thought the Fruits Basket, was um, fruit baskets. Good to know!

There a huge building near where I live, which used to be one of the region's biggest factories. They built it ten years ago or so, and have already abandoned it again. It looks beautifully depressing, if that makes sense :p. (The only abandoned buildings that creep me out, are public swimming pools. Don't know why, but they freak me out in a bad way.)

I didn't know The Decemberists cancelled their tour. Damn, now I'm a little worried. Let's hope whoever's ill gets better soon.

*realizes she still needs to do this meme and runs off to do just that*

That sounds amazing. I would love to explore that. (Abandoned swimming pools in general I find creepy, especially if they're full. Brrr.)

I know. I'm really worried, too. Especially since they haven't put out any bulletins or anything about it. ;____;

I've seen some icons around LJ that feature those artworks, and now I know who does them! Cool - they are strangely perturbing but beautiful. One I keep seeing is a young woman with a rabbit mask.

I'm with you on the abandoned buildings thing - the sad thing is, in Perth, they try to tear them down as soon as possible. Melbourne, on the other hand, practically a Disneyland for the forlorn and the forgotten.

It is true what they say though, if you have Irish blood in you, you do feel the call of the homeland in you. It's an amazing feeling when you get there, almost as if you have been there before yet somehow forgotten it.

(Side note: the icon chooser, which is meant to be based on your post, chose "STFU" - I rest assured that wasn't my choice so I changed it, heh.)

The funny thing about Audrey's work (and Kurt's, for that matter) is that I knew her and enjoyed her before I saw any of her work on LJ. It just makes me laugh because a lot of the artwork icons I see are her work and Kurt's work. I feel like that guy who's all 'I knew them before they were cool.' ;P

That is sad. Melbourne sounds fantastic, then. I should visit there someday ...

It is true. I look forward to the day when I do get to walk the green hills of Eire.

(That? Is hilarious. And makes no sense. XD )
