I should probably mention that I'm going to Peru in September. My sister is getting married there; Machu Picchu, specifically. I am so excited about the adventure that awaits. My mom, who is a very talented seamstress, is making my bridesmaid's dress. She found the exact pattern for Pippa's dress from the Royal wedding, and we found some gorgeous ( Read more... )

Ooh! I've always wanted to go to Machu Pichu! I'm so excited for you! I heard that the gaps between the giant stone bricks are so uniform and tiny. It must be magical, and to think people once lived there!

I googled Pippa and her dress, because I didn't know who she was. At first I thought, "Pippi Longstockings," and you probably shook your head just then reading that, thinking, "Oh god, no. No." XD Anyway... It's a gorgeous dress! I love the delicately drapey neckline.

My last thing to mention is that for years, I was aware of the word "Peruvian." But I never connected it with Peru until last year or so. I knew it had to do with a foreign country, though. I think it was the "v" in Peruvian that threw me. The only other country adjective with a "v" in it is "Latvian," but that's a given cuz it's Latvia. :/

I've heard that it is so very magical to just be there. I love going to places with such rich history, and touching ancient things. It makes me feel like I'm a little part of it.

Haha. If I was going to wear a Pippi Longstocking dress, I'd give you permission to slap me upside the head. Isn't Pippa's dress beautiful?? I am sooo excited about it!

Huh....I had no idea that those two countries are the only ones with Vs in their adjectives. YOU always astound me with your factoids. Love you for them.

Well, I just love you.
