medium-level accuracy

praedestinatio and I threw together some "medium-level accuracy"/mostly closet cosplay awhile back for BBC's current Sherlock series. I grew my hair out to basically the right length, curled it... and then it rained the day of our shoot. When the curls fall, I look rather girly. Still, you can see the awesome John Watson jacket Miriam made in this great photo ( Read more... )

Thank you! It's definitely worth watching. And hey, right now it's only 3 episodes, so it'd go quickly ;D

I love this!! I'm just sad that series 2 won't be out until the fall.

The wait is unbearable and for just 3-4 episodes. Downton Abbey ended at such a juicy point. At least Upstairs Downstairs is airing on Sunday. I'm eagerly awaiting the last series of Poirot too.

I heard there was a new Upstairs Downstairs, but I haven't watched the series since I was 6 or 7! Might have to check it out now... I think I'm definitely missing some Poirot--wish they were available on Netflix instant. I loved the David Suchet Orient Express documentary that aired a month or two ago.

Love it! Do you have any more shots of the John jacket? It's fabulous

Here are 2 shots that sort of show the jacket better.

Thank you! I'm working on my own John costume (my wig arrives tomorrow SO excited !) and I was curious how she tackled the jacket. You both did a wonderful job with your costumes I hope you get the chance to take more pictures.

Fab costumes! Terrific lighting job, as well, it has a very canonical feel. I can almost imagine Mark Gatiss out-of-frame, smirking and twirling a brolly. :D
