omg, how weird! My dad too!! Although I don't think he goes through nearly as many notebooks as this guy does, and his notes are not quite as detailed and are only work-related. Still though...wow..........

i have to agree that i have little confidence in nancy pelosi. she seems pretty adamant in her claims, and she's pushing for the release of documents which, if declassified, would essentially prove her guilt, so i'm hoping that she comes out clean in the end. but she's never really been a politician that i've had a great deal of trust in or respect for, so... meh.

also, i have to back my girl rachel up and say that the rachel maddow show actually often addresses the fact that waterboarding is done to our own troops; she recently interviewed the officer in charge of the SERE school. even if many in congress are politically motivated, i think it's hardly fair to say that ALL opposition to waterboarding is purely political.

lastly: i seriously love rachel maddow, and even though she's far from perfect and doesn't pretend to be unbiased, she's still far and away the best political show host in the realm of non-comedic political shows. :)

i think you misunderstood. i wasn't talking about 'your girl' but rather politicians like pelosi and others...i'm talking about policy makers not average citizens ( ... )

yeah, i get what you mean.

the whole thing with nancy pelosi is really disappointing and ridiculous. and i agree with you about the way the cia is portrayed. honestly, i'm pretty sick of politics/politicians at this point; it's all such ridiculous posturing. if one more senator/congressperson implies that sotomayor is a racist, or declares that american prisons are somehow incapable of holding the wing'd magical wizard-unicorns that are guantanamo detainees, i'm going to lose it and punch a small child in the face. and then i'll become an ice-road trucker. the end.
