Testing out Frank bot

Every LJ account comes with a (XMPP) chat account, which I just added to Pidgin to see if anyone else uses it. It appears nobody does BUT you're automatically made friends with Frank the goat, who appears to be an XMPP bot that makes posts to your LJ on your behalf. This is a totally useless feature.

hmmm we use xmpp+pidgin at work, that means this is not new and therefore not scary, i should do this.....

It's pretty straightforward in Pidgin. You go to Add Account, pick XMPP as the type, fill in rainisnice as your username, livejournal.com as your domain, anything you like as your resource (or leave it blank) and type in your password and you're done.
