[Izaya... that was the guy Masaomi warned him about, wasn't it? Welp. No big there.

But this would be that other guy then. Shikamaru's never really met him before, but Masaomi said he was also dangerous (and if that cracking sound was an apartment door, he thinks that's a fair call).

Normally he'd just leave it at that, but troublesome as it is, it's probably something he should play closer attention to. So when Shikamaru hears Shizuo tell Shinra they're going to a bar, he decides to head over too.

He's not a drinker, so he'll just find a place to sit and order some soda - and a milkshake, later on - and read through his journal, quietly observing Shizuo without making it obvious (hopefully).

Since he has nothing else better to do, he'll probably be there a while. It's interesting to be here, anyways. Shikamaru's only been here twice before, and one of those times was as a six-year-old.]
