US Presidential Candidate Ron Paul

My sister told me the other day about a candidate for president: Ron Paul. He's one of the 133 congressmen who voted against the authorization of a war in Iraq, which is a nice quality in any candidate for president. Of the other popular candidates, Biden, Clinton, Edwards, Lieberman, and McCain all voted for the war. Feingold voted against it

I've been watching Ron Paul with interest for quite some time, including his appearances with Bill Maher (where a republican actually drew applause!) and Stephen Colbert. He seems interesting, but I didn't realize he was pro-life... terrible shame, really.

Have you looked at the fledgling Unity '08 "Centrist" party?

I haven't looked into the centrist party, but I will now. I'm not in love with any of the candidates I've seen offered up by the Democrats or Republicans so far.

He's pro-life, but opposed to federal laws regulating abortion -- he doesn't think that's one of the enumerated powers in the Constitution.

Actually, that's not true. Taken from his web site:
