How to apply:
o1. Please refer back to the rules to make sure everything's in check.
o2. If your application is too big to put in one comment, keep it threaded with the parts in the subject line (ie, 1/3, 2/3, 3/3). This makes it easier for us to keep track of. :)
o3. Make sure your grammar and spelling is correct! if u typ lik this and it's not IC, our heart goes out to you but we don't want you here. Sorry.
o4. Please do not start fights with us if your application is declined or we request revisions. More often than not we'll be making suggestions for revisions before rejecting an app outright, so you will have another chance to re-apply and we will give you a full week to do so. If we don't hear back from you in that time, then we'll mark the application as closed. Being an asshole to us over a declined app isn't going to make us want you in our game and in fact set off rather large alarm bells.
o5. APPLICATIONS MUST BE YOUR OWN WORK! Plagiarized apps will not only result in your application being declined, but you will be permanently banned from applying for future characters. If an existing player is caught submitting a plagiarized app, he or she will be removed from the game because we cannot trust the originality of their writing. In summary: Don't copy/paste from a wiki, you'll look like an ass.
o6. (Optional, but strongly recommended) Run your character through a Mary Sue litmus test or otherwise take steps to ensure that the character you're applying for won't be considered a Mary Sue. Don't know what a Mary Sue is? Click here as well as a list of common Mary Sue traits. If your character has many of these traits and characteristics, you may want to revise your concept to make him/her more realistic and enjoyable to interact with, and therefore have a better chance at getting approved.

A character who simply lives in that setting -- IE, Random Faceless Hogwarts Student #501b, a WoW character, or Generic Na'vi Villager, given a backstory and personality of course.)

If canon characters start to outnumber original characters by a huge margin, we will temporarily close apps on canon characters until the OC population gets back up before reopening them. It's not because we don't like you, but OCs need more love too. ♥
In the future we may (not guaranteed) allow a limited number of non-AU canon apps every app period (if the game actually gets big enough to require app periods XD), but right now it's OCs, previously played, and AUs only and stay that way until we become more established.
