I just saw one of my print ads in a magazine -- not just a mock-up, but something I art directed and photoshopped and made press-ready all finished and made real. It's an awesome feeling seeing something you had a hand in at every stage come to life ( Read more... )

At times it does.

At times it does.

But there's something to be said for putting your all into something and seeing it take shape -- even if it's just a magazine ad. I mean, it's not just a magazine ad, it's a freaking fantastic magazine ad! Maybe I needed to be more clear about that. I'm damned proud of myself.

And it's not always flaming heads and collapsing roofs 'round here. Just sometimes. And sometimes those flaming heads and collapsing roofs got real bad timing ...

But that's work in the creative world, you know?

I wouldn't lie.

Y'know, I couldn't find that magazine anywhere here, either. Bummer. But I'll let everyone know if the same ad crops up elsewhere.
