2012 new years resolutions • important life decisions will be made. • keep in touch with new friends and old friends. being alone is okay, I know it's what I prefer above all else. but that doesn't mean that you have to shut out everyone. • reach a comfortable weight. I've pretty much maintained 120 for the past 2 years but I'm still not satisfied. don't take it too fast, though! I know how impatient I can be when it comes to me, but I know that I need to give myself as much patience as much as I give to everyone else. • and, of course, same goals as every other year. including: 1) stop procrastinating 2) don't be so damn lazy 3) make organization/cleanliness a habit
Mugen: So this power you keep talking about is the power to control other people? Nagatomi: That's right. What's your point? Mugen: I don't care about any of that crap. I don't want to rule or be ruled.
Ishimatsu: I didn't believe in anything but my own skills, either. I used to think, "I'm going to use these skills of mine to grab something better for myself. That's all I need." But the world doesn't work that way. It's not that simple. There are times when you just have to agree to something even when you think it's wrong. Mugen: Bullshit. Don't spend your life making excuses to yourself. You're the one who decides how to live your life.
Okuro: If you have friends, you should stay with them. Fuu: Those jerks are no friends of mine… Okuro: Once you have traveled with someone, they become like family. You are not alone in this world.
"So, I guess we are who we are for a lot of reasons. And maybe we’ll never know most of them. But even if we don’t have the power to choose where we come from, we can still choose wherever we go from there. We can still do things. And we can try to feel okay about them." - Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower
"Ha, it took me a while, but I finally figured out what this song means. "Are we human, or are we dancer?" The main line is asking if we are human, as in, can we make our own choices in our life, and think independently? Or are we dancers, whose every move is choreographed and planned out? Are our lives like that? Though it was interesting. If you actually understand the song, it can mean a lot more to you..."
