It was a great prompt and I wanted to write something like that for so long, but never had the chance. Babs is...she has so many layers!

But Barbara is not just a Bat. She's also a Bird :P

...so many things I loved about this I don't even know where to start!

~ Zinda POV. I didn't expect that, and I love it! There should be more Zinda POV out there. Her brain seems like a fun place.

~ That tone makes Zinda want to cry ‘cause no one ever wanted to protect her as bad as the Canary wants to protect the Skipper. YES. Dinah's fierce love and protection of Babs. It is such a rare thing. and Lovely!

~ Babs's speech. Oh, your heart just goes out to her! and Zinda, at the end, showing that she's developing the same fierce love for the "Skipper."

(PS - I know somewhere it was hinted that Jim may also be her bio-dad. Who all knows about that?)

Jim is Barbara's biological dad. He had an affair with her mother, she married his brother and we never learned the reason behind all that drama. Babs know it of course and Bruce knows it. I want to believe that Jim knows it as well, but this was before BGY1 so I don't know if it's still canon.

It is my canon and nothing will change my mind :D

Yes, Zinda's mind is a fun place to be. I love Zinda and I agree that the world needs more Zinda fics! The woman is awesome and would do everything for her friends.

I think everyone knows that Dinah loves two people; Ollie and Barbara. it's canon! :P

When Babs opens up, she opens up. I think she's comfortable enough around them to talk about her family and feelings.
