Really, really, the best birthday present anyone has given me ever, and it was from dave grohl himself, even though I kind of made an idiot of myself.

hey i came across your journal looking under joan of arc interests or something and saw modernmouse thought of modest mouse and yanno 2 of the best bands. Sorry to make an idiot out of myself but if you want to make it 2 lj friends im here aha.

Yeah, It's a play on the phrase that they used to come up with their name...

...blah blah, middle class people are "modest mouse-like people."

And anyway, It made me think of modern mouse-like people. Yeah, so anyway, now that you have that thorough explanation, let me squish it all down to get to the point that I'm sort of trying to make which is yes, I love modest mouse (see also: livejournal icon of Isaac Brock, lead singer) and I also like Joan of Arc, although not to the same degree as modest mouse.

I have rambled, but I always get rambly when someone asks me about things I like.
