I was afflicted with the plague last night, yet I continue to draw breath. No sores, no blood mingled with pus, not even scarred flesh...I suppose yesterday really was only a curse. Thank whatever benign higher power watching over us that it is over.

I was not referring to them, monstrous beings that they are. Yet, I suppose there is some sort of other force at work here.
