What happens if you want to make coffee or something?
I find it kind of amusing that you like the old-fashioned tea kettles, because I had never used one in my life before until last year when we bought one for camping. The idea of using a whistling kettle is a novelty to me still.

i believe I know the term, but remember: we are a nation who would be defenceless without our tea.
In all honesty, we don't really have coffee makers. We do it by hand. Boil the water in the kettle, into the strainer thing with the coffee, into the mug.
