i know right! especially in comparison to chanel 'couture' this season.. dior always seems to be a fresh breath of air

Right? I fanned Vogue's facebook page a while back and saw today that they posted the photos from the couture collections that have shown so far and almost 1,000 people liked the Chanel album like, instantaneously. Seriously? Is that what this world has come to? I feel like people are just robotic and always want to praise Chanel because there have been some truly lovely, classic, and extremely beautiful pieces that have come from the design house, but... that doesn't automatically make a severely underwhelming collection (a couture one, at that) praise-worthy... It's still important to remember the essence of the brand and all... but I seriously just feel like most people can't see far enough passed the facade of the brand and in to the mundane collections Lagerfeld has been putting out. No wonder he won't go away.
