I wish I had some idea what David meant by this comment, written just a few days before his suicide. As far as his family was concerned, he was our He-Man. The only David we ever knew was a gentle soul that loved his family, friends, and children; books and the words contained within; drawing/cartooning, and playing Scrabble on-line and in person. He was an awesome young man on his way to becoming an even more awesome man. Why or how he ended up on a path that ended up with his suicide is unfathomable to us. The only explanation we can come up with is a combination of depression (or some other mental condition), nihilism, and recreational drugs ("shrooms" and pot
