OH MY LORD!!!!!! (of the Rings)
One of my coworkers came up to me recently and said "You saw those Lord of the Rings movies, didn't you?"
"Yeah."
"You like to read, don't you?"
"Yeah."
"They've made books out of those movies now. I saw them in the store. You should read them."
"Those books were written a few decades ago."
"No, they weren't! No one could have wrote them then."
"Why?"
"Didn't you see the movies? No one knew how to do special effects like that then."
"You don't need special effects in a book."
"Then how did the writer know what things looked like?"
