I finally managed to buy a Bean bag. There was this sales-person at a furniture store in Koramangala, who had the cheek to tell me very sweetly that bean bags were out of fashion, but he could get me one for 2,200/- I said a "Haha! are you kidding me or did you think I didnt know any better than trust you after your out-of-fashion statement on bean ( Read more... )

Phew - Bombay almost seems like paradise. The other day my auto fare came to 25 rupees, which is 3-4 rupees more than usual. I mentioned it to the driver, who, probably fearing I'd report him for running a faulty meter, meekly asked me to pay him the usual fare. And my monthly electricity bill (household of two, no AC) is 450 rupees on an average. Something's screwy with your setup.

I can't imagine how one could run up an electricity bill of 3,000+ by not consuming any electricity for 2 whole weeks. Even I don't have an AC, or washing machine, or any other heavy duty appliance.

Something is definitely screwy with BESCOM, the autowallahs and the rest of Bangalore. I guess, I will just give up on trying to like this hopeless city and move to a different place. Can't expect the job to hold me back much longer.

Belated birthday wishes to you!

I didn't accomplish what I came here for and simply added a lot of trouble to my kitty. Hyderabad does beckon, I guess.

I wish I could win a lottery of a few crores or something like that and straighten up a few things. For that, I will need to buy a lottery ticket, which I am against. I believe, people like me, who could really do something worthy with the money, never win lotterries.

How about KBC - Dwitiya:)..a few laksh would do for now:p

I wish! I don't have an Airtel or BSNL. My mom (she has an Airtel) keeps trying to answer and is all prepared to send me up there if she manages to get through :P

It sounds like that a change is needed. I hate leaks in a house.
