I have now been home for a whole week after consecutive weekends in two distant states trying to sell books during an economic panic. Interestingly enough, people are still buying out of print books with some enthusiasm...possibly because you actually have something to hold in your hands when the money has melted away.

Re 1) Oh dear. :-) I actually did that the other day with cowboy boots (one Tony Lama black, one Justin brown-and-black) but luckily caught it before I went outside. Drat that dressing in a dimly lit room. ;-)

Happily, I'd booked this trip back in the summer so we each got our first suitcases at no charge and the second which we filled with books up to the weight limit was $25 instead of the new standard of $15 for the first and $50 for the second. And then they keep telling you you should check your bags due to overfull cabins. Bah, humbug.

Your line of work sounds pretty challenging at the moment--glad you've got some down time. Unbelievable about United. Something Must Be Done. And did you see the news about so many airline baggage weights being vastly overestimated, forcing people to pay a hella lot of money for no reason? (Or face repacking right there in the airport)? Unreal.

On the upside, I finally got to taste a real Bellini in Boston, which was a lovely way to get a bubbly fix and a little wholesome fruit juice all at once!
