I've got tons of acorns here, too, which are attracting the crows and jays- and after hearing an item on yesterday's news about the huckleberry shortage in the high fields, I'm worrying about bears (well, that and the fact that there has always been bear sign around here, even in the old days when they were shot on sight, even lately with the suburbs everywhere) being attracted to the acorns and apples and, worst, the hazelnuts and walnuts that the grey squirrels bury all over my garden.

Julia, strange days indeed.
