[Zuko hissed sharply in pain as the makeshift bat connected full force with his ribcage, not having enough time to move away. There was a sickening crack, and his face twisted momentarily in agony before he shoved away from Haru, jumping backwards and landing in a protective crouch, breathing hard. Blood seemed through the poorly bandaged area around his chest where Abel had cut him only hours earlier, but he ignored it, hands tightening on his sword hilts as he waited for Haru to come after him again]

[Seeing that the other wasn't coming in for another blow, Zuko straightened slightly, knees still bent in a ready stance. Slowly, he smirked again, thought his breathing was a little too heavy]

You kept talking about how martial arts and insisting you could defend yourself, but I can't really see this working against a monster--let alone me.

[And, once again making use of the fact he had dual blades, he struck from two different directions, one sword making an upward slash toward his opponent's stomach while the other struck straight forward at his right shoulder.]

[Haru hissed out loudly as the blades struck him. He fell to his knees while gritting his teeth in pain. He dropped his weapon and clenched his fists.]

[Harshly tugging his blade out of Haru's shoulder with a wet sound, Zuko merely stood over him, smirking coldly, triumphantly. He even went so far as to lower his swords a fraction of an inch, loosening his guard.]

[He growled a little glaring up at Zuko. That smirk on his face pissed him off to no end. Without a seconds thought he quickly lunged at the other throwing a punch into the other's stomach at full force.]

[Zuko stumbled back with a choked grunt, eyes widening momentarily in pain and surprise. Gasping for breath, he jumped a few feet away, landing hard on one knee and coughing, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth]
