Not all protagonists are the same

Me and John went to see a movie after a nice little convention of gaming (the LARP was the highlight for me). A couple of Toon games, seeing some folks, yadda yadda. Not the point of the post.

It is about the movie. Which is you have not seen the new Star Trek yet I have cutted this whole rant.

I'm sure the actor who plays Spock could have done the more definitive human/vulcan Spock - he was quite capable of doing just that in Heroes, so I'd lay that blame at Abrams' feet for the lack of emotional displays/whatnot.
