Donkeys, Day 14

Decided to pull out my drawing tablet* and play around with digital illustrating. I no longer have Photoshop, only PSE, now that I have a Mac, and despite being a stripped down version, PSE is different enough to what I'm used to that I feel like I've never used the program before. . Another thing to add to my never-ending to-do list. No! You don't need to. Let it go. You'll use it when you use it and discover its ins and outs when you get a chance and when you feel like it. Maybe you never will. It's okay. Meanwhile you're doing other things--even just watching the birds is a Thing. The universe is happy when you watch the birds.

:D Thanks for the reminder that I don't HAVE to master this. It is just that it cost around $400, and ouch...expensive if all it is going to do is gather dust.

But yes, I'm going to work on "letting go."

It is not like it is going to go moldy or dry out. If, five years from now, you pick it up and master it--great! Everyone will be like, "Wow, look what she can do on that outdated technology! It's practically cave painting!" /joking JOKING, yo :-)

I also think the shadow effect makes it looks like cutouts. This donkey looks somewhat confused and bewildered, as if she can't decide which of the two trees to believe (she hears the voices of both), or what those big blue leaves are doing around her feet. She almost looks like she's afraid to take a step. Perhaps the crackling of the leaves hurts her ears.
