One day, not long ago, happily minding my business on the Internet, I saw a photo of blue trees for artist Konstantin Dimopoulos' "afforestation art action."
What are those people doing to those poor trees in that painting? There's an entire orchard behind them, so I suppose they could be planting, but I'm afraid the action makes me think they're tearing them all up.
*lol* The title of the painting is "Tree Planting," so I'm inclined to think that they aren't deliberately hurting the trees. The painting is part of the Socialist Realism school, I believe, and without sticking my neck out too far, I venture the opinion that it was part of the Communist regime's propaganda to make duties look either fun and edifying or Serious and Worthy.
And you may not like Katie and my tree. When we were in the apartment, just the 2 of us, we decided on a white tree with only pink and purple ornaments. We have added new colors each year, like turqoise and gold. We think its pretty. It was good to see you and S earlier today. Have a Merry Christmas and enjoy the snow. Hugs to all. Love Robin, Katie and Mommom
Wellllll, let's just say those aren't the colors I'd pick to do a tree in. HOWEVER! I've seen some really pretty "non-traditional" trees in color schemes that aren't my particular thing, but I like them a lot because they are tastefully done. It all depends on how you carry it off. I'm sure that with your artistic bent, your tree is lovely. :D
