Julien and I were strolling along the road and heard music, similar to what you would hear in the States to announce the arrival of an ice-cream truck.  Just up ahead of us on the sidewalk, a woman flagged the truck down.

Up pulled, not an ice-cream truck, but a vegetable vendor!  Not kiddies, but adults swarmed the truck to buy their fresh ( Read more... )

Not exactly vendors, but there are these old Yemenite guys who drive around in trucks collecting old furniture. The funniest part of it is that they all call out the same thing over a loudspeaker in their Yemenite accents: Alte zachen, which is Yiddish for "old stuff".

...Only in Israel.

They don't come all the way out here, but we have icecream trucks in Denmark as well. Only you have to buy ice cream per box, not per piece. :)

We have a Schwan's delivery truck that sells frozen foods of all kinds. He only comes once every two weeks and he is very expensive
