Now that's a bit of a drive, 'specially with the kids. And you all made it alive? Well done!

So, where were you? Let's see, Washington, DC? Denver, CO? Canada? Tallahassee, FL? Or... damn girl! You could have been at Portus!

*looking forward to details*

If it weren't for the individual DVD players and MP3 players, I suspect our trip would've made the Donners look like a walk in the park.

We went from home to Santa Fe, NM (with a stop in Amarillo, TX for the night) where the company I work for had its annual meeting. After the meetings, we headed north to Taos, then to Colorado Springs, and then to Boulder/Rocky Mountain National Park/Longmont, then back home to the sweltering and sticky midwest. The temperature today is 99 and the heat index is 105. Quite a shock after Friday's 10% humidity level in Colorado.

Still, since it was a vacation based around my work, Portus wasn't an option.

More to follow... ;D

Ouch, that's a drive. I've decided to become an old fuddy-duddy early and skip vacations altogether. ;-)

Heh.

Actually, the drive wasn't all that bad (aside from the bottom half of all our bodies falling asleep). Having said that, I'm not sure I would ever undertake such an adventure with adolescents. At least, not our adolescents.
