Yes!!! :D Married!M/M -- I needed that today. :) I thought this was delightful -- your muse needs to get stuck more often, hee! I laughed happily in several parts: the idea that every day, they've done what Mary wanted to do (of course!), Mary vs. the elephant (who takes offense at his small ears, aww!) and I LOVED Matthew sort of teasing her by calling her "Lady Mary" (whispering in her ear? That's kind of hot. ;) And obviously, Mary is going to take on the elephant who tried to run her over -- so Mary! :) Love it!

I've always enjoyed your romantic comedy, and this was wonderful -- I can't wait to read Mary vs. the elephant part 2! :D Keep writing and Happy Monday!!! :)

And yes, Mary definitely gets annoyed at Matthew and yet she just can't resist him... :D

Aww, I'm so glad you wrote this prompt as it's such an adorable idea and this fic is lovely - love how Mary had a little battle with the elephant and refused to back down and then decided to ride the bigger one - and Matthew just found the whole thing rather amusing. Looking forward to part 2! :)

Hehehe, I loved this! Very fun and so IC, especially Mary and her refusal to back down from a challenge. I'm so impressed how you made a slightly cracky prompt into something so realistic and believable.

I hope nothing too unfortunate happens to Mary in the next chapter (she's suffered enough with her dress and boots getting splashed!) though I'm sure Matthew will save her or comfort her if her elephant decides to throw her. He's already had to rescue her twice, so he might as well continue to be her savior, right? Anyway, I can't wait to see part 2 of their adventures!

(And I already think you should write a sequel - Elephants Never Forget - about how M/M return to Thailand on some wedding anniversary and Matthew insists on riding elephants again and of course the big elephant tries to run Mary over as soon as it sees her. Glad it felt IC too. I mean the idea they'd go to Thailand is a little modern, but I'm glad apart from that you think it works.

Oh and love the idea of an epilogue for them, but depending on what happens in the second part, they may not quite fancy that!
