I have a question, if I may.

How many of those here have suffered the pain of death? I am merely curious, you see, and wondering how concerned I must be, should I find myself in similar straights.

I suppose once you're dead you'd have hardly anything to be concerned about. The hard part is already done.

Ah, but that is the thing. Here... death has started to seem less than a permanent problem.

Then it's not really death is it?

Oh, no. By all accounts, they are quite dead. Simply... they later return.

[She spent like, an hour debating on whether or not she should even answer.]

I have?

I see.

What was it like, if I may be so bold? If not, please, forget that I have asked. I would hate to upset the owner of such a charming voice.

It was not pleasant, to say the least.

Is there nothing else you can tell me?

Doesn't matter if you're killed, it's how you're killed. If it was quick it wouldn't be too bad.

And when you return? What happens then?

Then you wish you were still dead, because it would be better than remembering what death is like.

[Not what Zevran was looking for, perhaps, but true none-the-less.]

This must be very difficult for you to speak of. My apologies. I only wish to understand what is occurring here.

If there is anything at all specific you can provide to me... I... will be most grateful.

[Turning on that old Antivan charm there. Have you ever been flirted with, Ezra?]

Pain of it? Yeah. Didn't actually die though.

[Yeah, cause that makes sense.]

...Wait are you talkin' physical pain or emotional shit at losing someone else?

I am talking about what would happen if one were to die, and then come back. If they return with everything as it was before their death, or if they are changed in some way.

... In your case, I should hope it would always be the former, my friend.

[Jael has a feeling she'll regret this, but...]

Why do you want to know?

Simple curiosity.

It was terrible. I know I died, but then I wasn't. I would have thought it were a horrible nightmare if I didn't suddenly have new scars.

[There is no way to accurately describe how traumatized she is through text.]

... You are scarred, now?

[You hear this? This is his utmost concern.]
